If you look at my Saved Instagram posts, you’ll notice that they’re mostly made up of stylish French women. It goes without saying that the French are known for not only what they wear but how they wear it. French model and clothing designer Jeanne Damas recently posted a snippet of herself to Instagram in a chunky pink sweater under a menswear-inspired Herringbone coat that I think perfectly encapsulates what we love so much about Parisian style: There are no rules.
French women are largely unfussy about their clothes, building their wardrobes around relatively simple items, which they enhance with personal style and dutiful attention to fit and proportion. Looking to bring a little French sensibility into my own wardrobe, I scoured Nordstrom for every item I’m sure the women in my Saved Instagram folder would love.
