Especially as summer approaches, I find long-sleeve, gauzy button-up, cotton shirts go with just about everything. Finding a great wash is the key, and be sure to pick up a range of colors that look great on sun-kissed skin.
ATM Anthony Thomas Melillo Colorblock BF Shirt ($235)
I don't think we can ever have too much linen—T-shirts (short and long sleeved) and tanks especially. I love to layer them, and they're great in a range of stripe layouts from tiny feeder stripes to larger rugby.
It's the perfect season for eyelet. I love a tunic for easy versatility (there are so many ways to wear it!), but really any shape in eyelet works.
Isabel Marant Étoile Eyelet-Embroidered Silo Top ($395)
Personally, I steal my fiancé's button-down shirts for the beach in place of a traditional cover-up.
Sleeveless blouses are great for spring and summer. Layer them with a blazer for air-conditioned offices or wear them on their own when it's warm out.
Elizabeth & James Chester Striped Poplin Top ($225)
Needle & Thread Floral Sequin-Embellished Top ($161)
