Whatever feelings you have about summer coming to an end, the unfortunate reality is, we're about to swap shorts and sandals, for pants and boots. I fall in the 'summer' camp (give me a Sydney heatwave any day of the week), which is why I'm escaping the coldest month of winter and heading to Europe in August to get married (I know, #HumbleBrag). But that doesn't mean I don't get a little bit excited about layering up.
As fashion editor of Who What Wear Australia, it's pretty obvious I like clothes and accessories, and if you're reading this, my guess is you do, too. I get excited when my inbox starts filling up with new season arrivals, signalling the shift from summer to autumn, and I start to forward plan outfits in my head. They might not be shoulder-baring, or light and flowy, but the season change offers variety in the way we dress—and I'm all about variety.
With a change in season there comes a change in your style choices, too. There can even be four seasons in one day (hello, Melbourne!), so preparation is key. So what should you wear? The three-piece outfit formula. A jacket, top, and pants combo, so you can remove or add your jacket as required.
