Sure, Cyber Weekend may be behind us, but that doesn’t mean our favorite retailers aren’t continuously throwing top-notch deals our way throughout the holiday season. Yep, if you cruise over to the sale sections at both Nordstrom and Shopbop, for example, you’ll uncover a plethora of amazing discounted items. In fact, after spending the afternoon scrolling through the assortments, it became quickly apparent that a lot of those fashion-forward items in question just so happen to also be essentials in many a fashion person’s wardrobes.
Okay, clearly fashion girls rely on a wide range of must-haves depending on their personal styles, but there are some universal staples that the majority do seem to covet to achieve their chic looks. And it’s these general pieces that I found hiding in the sale sections at Nordstrom and Shopbop. To dive deeper into the matter, I’m showcasing a checklist of the seven general essentials in question (as showcased on some of the coolest fashion people), and I shopped out a variety of inspired iterations for each as well. You just can’t deny the power of a modern blazer (one that’s a tad slouchier than a traditional silhouette) to bring a polished twist to any type of ensemble. While fashion people tend to covet the plaid and striped selects out there, solids in black and camel are also front-runners.

When it comes to basics, a lightweight turtleneck is a certified fashion-girl staple thanks to its inherent chicness and ability to be worn by itself or layered under cardigans, jackets, dresses, and so on for an even more styled vibe.
Incorporating leather into your look (faux or not) is one of the simplest ways to make any outfit feel more elevated. The fashion crowd has been embracing this trend all season long (and will continue well into 2020) with luscious leather jackets, skirts, trousers, and more.
If there’s one dress silhouette that reigns supreme in many style setters’ wardrobes, it’s the midi dress. Versatile and chic in nature, the ideal silhouette among fashion girls seems to really run the gamut from patterned silk picks to cozy knit options.
Fashion people tend to have a range of outerwear picks in their arsenals, but it’s those sleek wool coats that often complete their ensembles to keep their vibes sophisticated and on point.
