I often think about what my desert-island items would be. Would I bring the go-to lip balm I can't live without? What about the little white dress that I look good in no matter my mood? I haven't exactly nailed it down yet, but my co-workers have, and their picks are just as stylish as they are.

My fellow editors, Natalie Cantell, Sierra Mayhew, and Katie Berohn, are all experts in the latest and greatest because it's quite literally their job, so I always trust them when they tell me an essential is worth it. When I caught up with them to talk about this season's must-haves, they mentioned that often, the staple items in their wardrobes and beauty cabinets are the most affordable and approachable items they've purchased. They collectively agreed that right now, Walmart is the place to look for all your sartorial essentials, from classic white linen sets to strappy sandals.

If you had to choose one spring trend, what would it be?

I love that all-white looks are such a spring and summer vibe again this year, but this season, it's with a punchy pop of color by way of accessories. These slightly OTT pool slides are my favorite new find. They come in so many feel-good shades, and they're the perfect hit of dopamine to make a breezy, timeless look feel current.

What's your go-to outfit right now, and why is it vital in your wardrobe?

This look is giving big summer-Friday energy. I'm here for the vacation-dressing trend, but it's only spring, and New York is still warming up, so I'm easing into it without veering into the world of maxi dresses and prints just yet. Accessories are definitely key in the meantime. Layered gold necklaces, bracelets with pearly beads, pool slides, and oversize tort aviators really set the balmy-afternoon mood.

What's the one key beauty product you can't live without this season, and why?

This Lottie lip mask saves my lips from getting dry when the seasons change. It's cruelty-free and a bargain at under $10. All the flavors are delicious, but I love anything coco-flavored to feel like summer's coming.

What's your go-to outfit right now, and why is it vital in your wardrobe?

A railroad-stripe jacket worn over a preppy-inspired polo dress is what I'm currently wearing on repeat. I love that the pink dress is pastel-toned and goes with a pair of classic, white strappy sandals for an outfit I can wear both day and night. I will also be reaching for this bag every time I leave the house this season. It adds such a fun pop of color to liven up any outfit.

What's the one key beauty product you can't live without this season, and why?

I can't live without Dossier's Spicy Orchid fragrance! It's a really great interpretation of the scent notes found in luxury perfumes but subtle enough that I can wear it daily. Dossier's version has a kick of cinnamon to it, which gives it a little bit of an edge.

Do you have any advice for readers who are hunting for deals and want to dress on-trend this spring?

Free Assembly and Scoop are really solid brands for seasonal denim updates and on-trend items that won't break the bank. That being said, the best deals are the pieces I love so much that I wear them again and again no matter their price tags, so I double down on seasonal updates to my most-thrashed pieces. I'll always wear strappy sandals on repeat, so I always make a point to pick up a pair before a new season.

Matching Sets With Sierra Mayhew

If you had to pick one spring trend, what would it be?

Matching sets are my favorite right now because they're just so easy to wear. When I'm getting ready for the day, I don't have to put too much thought into my look when I have a few good matching sets in my closet.

What's your go-to outfit right now, and why is it vital in your wardrobe?

The second I got this set, I immediately started planning vacations that revolved around it: a girls' trip to Tulum, a vineyard exploration in Napa, or even a barbecue in my own backyard in New York City. The possibilities are endless.

What's the one key beauty product you can't live without this season, and why?

Let's be honest: one of the more difficult parts of transitioning into a warmer season is the adjustment to a new hair-removal routine. I'm shaving more regularly now, and I really needed a good razor and shaving cream. There's a reason you've already seen Billie everywhere, and my first time trying it left me quite impressed. The sharp blades are cushioned by moisturizing strips that gave me the smoothest shave ever.

While she does love writing her fair share of fashion stories, her heart really belongs in the brainstorm room, where she has fun strategizing different ways to create content with our fashion partners so that you engage with the brands you know and love. Her style tends to be more classic (she loves a good black-and-white look with gold accessories), and white pumps are kind of her thing.
