Sofia Richie Just Broke This Major Fashion "Rule" in the Most Elegant Way
Stepping out over the weekend, Sofia Richie Grainge broke what some might call a cardinal sin of fashion, but she did tap into some growing trends in the process. Styling an elegant tonal look, Richie Grainge opted for a warm brown coat in a thick wool fabric which she wore with brown leather trousers in a slightly deeper shade.
Whilst a tonal pairing would never cause alarm, it was her choice of accessories that could evoke some tutting from particular style circles (not ones we'd ever want to be a part of, FYI). Peppering her brown outfit with black accessories, the poster girl for quiet luxury rejected the age-old fashion rule of never wearing black and brown together, proving that these classic neutral shades do in fact complement one another. In our opinion, anyone who forbids the pairing of black and brown neglects to understand that this overlooked combo is an elegant base for winter styling. Ideal for layering with light cream or gold accents, the two colours work together to bring depth and warmth to an outfit.

Medium Solstice Shoulder Bag (£3140)
Richie Grainge opted for a short peacoat from The Row to pair with her brown leather trousers. The chocolate-brown colour trend has been on the rise this season for its expensive-looking and easy-to-style qualities, which Richie Grainge proves excellently with this look. Completing her weekend outfit, the modern-day style icon opted for black kitten-heel boots, a black Solstice Shoulder Bag from Bottega Veneta and large gold earrings.
