3 Skinny Jeans That Never Lose Their Popularity
Here’s a wild thought. Remember when skinny jeans were considered a passing trend? The denim piece has come along way since then, now considered a wardrobe staple and a building block in nearly every woman’s wardrobe. Fast-forward to present day, and we’ve added a number of trends within the skinny-jean category—there’s the side-slit look, the new silhouette Victoria Beckham approves, and a style with a detail that solves the number one skinny jean issue (to name a few). Needless to say, there’s no shortage of ways to reinvent the simple jeans in the denim world.
While the overall design remains the number one denim staple season after season, reports show some skinny-style designs like ripped skinnies have dipped in sales over the past year, proving trends within the category have a shorter life span than the basic silhouettes we’re highlighting below. Trendier styles aside, today we’re sharing the three types of skinny jeans that will never lose their popularity. Consider these classics the ones not to ditch when cleaning out your closet. Whether you’re looking for a style you can wear to the office on loop or a new pair to update your weekend wardrobe, the below styles are guaranteed to earn a solid slot in your denim rotation. Shop the skinny-jean styles that never lose popularity below.
High-Rise Skinny Jeans
You can and should always count on a high-rise silhouette for nearly any occasion. I’d suggest a pair in a darker wash to ensure a timeless denim look. The beauty of high-rise jeans is you can wear them with everything from cropped pieces to fitted tops for a nice tucked-in look and all that’s in between. Black Skinny Jeans
Next up, we have black skinny jeans, which lend the most versatility, in my opinion. If you find the right pair, you can get away with wearing the jeans as an alternative to work trousers during office hours and just as easily style the jeans for a more casual look on the weekend. One tip to note here: Be sure to turn them inside out before tossing them in the washer, to extend their life and darkness.
Ankle Skinny Jeans
Last on the list, we have skinny jeans that hit right at the ankle. Of the three styles, this one feels the “trendiest,” but I added it because I think it’s nice to have an option that works with a variety of shoe styles, particularly those boots that tend to cause bunching hang-ups with all your other jeans.
