It always surprises me that some of the best Italian meals I've eaten are made up of just two or three simple ingredients. "What's in this cacio e pepe?" I asked during a recent trip to Rome. "Pecorino Romano, black pepper, and spaghetti," the waiter told me. "Wow, that's cool," I responded. And it is cool. It's cool that the most delicious meal I've ever eaten was so incredibly uncomplicated. And when it comes to summer outfits there's no reason they can't be this simple and altogether spectacular too.
