I’ve Done the Research—These Are the 5 Haircuts Scandi Girls Always Ask for

I'm off to Copenhagen next week, and I could not be more excited. It's my first time visiting the Denmark capital, so I've been doing loads of research on Instagram to see where all the cool girls eat, drink and shop. Since looking at all of their Instagram accounts, not only have I realised that Scandi girls have great style, but they have great hair, too. In fact, all of their hairstyles seem to have that effortless, "I just woke up like this" vibe, and I want in.

Therefore, I've made it my mission to research some of the most popular Scandi-girl haircuts out there, and these are the styles that I have been seeing over and over. From the butterfly cut to the classic bob, there is definitely something for everyone, but what I love most about these haircuts is that they all have a Scandi edge which makes them seem so much cooler. In fact, just writing this article has got me considering making a very last minute appointment with my hairdresser before I head off on my trip.

If you're also thinking about switching up your hairstyle for autumn and winter, keep on scrolling for all the Scandi inspo you could ever need...

1. Face-Framing Layers

Face-framing layers are such an easy and quick way to make any haircut look ultra chic. Whether you like to wear your hair up or down, they can add that little bit of extra dimension, and it seems that they come Scandi-girl approved.

The best bit about this haircut is that you can tailor it to suit you. If you want your layers to look similar to curtain bangs you can get them cut a little bit shorter, or if you want them to blend into the rest of your hair for a natural look, longer is the way to go.

The butterfly cut has been everywhere at the moment, and I can totally see why. Not only is it bang on trend, but it's the perfect way to add body and movement to the hair while still keeping your natural length. thanks to the mix of short and long layers.

It really doesn't get much chicer than a full fringe. Although this haircut is an absolute classic, it's definitely growing in popularity, and I love the way that it adds an edge to any outfit.

Last, but by no means least, say hello to the 'lob'. This hairstyle is essentially a long bob, but I love how the Scandi girls are curling the ends of their hair inwards to instantly elevate the look.
