The Pretty Dress Trend That's Basically Internet-Stalking Me
Does anyone else keep a secret Pinterest board where you pin items you might want to buy? Unless it's a gotta-have-it-now item that I purchase on the spot, I check the board every couple days to compare all the pieces I'm mulling over, which helps me decide which ones I actually want to pull the trigger on.
Well, I recently scanned my board and realized that many of the items were versions of the same specific dress trend: puff-sleeve dresses with sweetheart necklines. As soon as I realized it, I started seeing the combination everywhere, each one tempting me more than the last. Should I try to escape the pull or give in? (Rhetorical question—of course I'm going to succumb to the bait.)
A slew of designers have offered unique takes on the trend, from Turkish designer Gül Hürgel's beautiful pink dress to Spanish designer Alejandra Alonso Rojas's lovely shirred number. Determined to find the best iterations on the internet, I unearthed dresses at every price point, including a $50 babydoll dress and a $76 mini that are begging to come home with you. Scroll down to shop the 19 best puff-sleeve sweetheart dresses available right now.

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 12 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of senior news editor (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
