Revealed: What Stylish Girls Always Search for on Net-a-Porter
As digital editors, we spend a lot of time looking at what people are searching for on Google, as there are now endless clever tools that let you see what trends are spiking and when. Spreadsheets filled with Google search terms might sound rather geeky, but they can actually tell you a lot about how people shop—and what you should consider buying, too. When a tech wiz in our office sent me a list of some of the most popular shopping searches—and they all just so happened to be on Net-a-Porter.com—it became apparent that this was a piece of data I also had to share with our readers.
Of course, sales figures for any brand or retailer are kept under strict lock and key, but you can still learn a lot from the general items people are searching for on Google—especially when they're stocked by one of our go-to e-commerce sites. This reads like a list of today's designer cult classics, with Gucci's Soho and Chloé's Faye bags high up the list. Then there are some items you might not expect—like Needle & Thread dresses and Norma Kamali swimsuits.
Instead of listing every item, we're bringing you the key pieces we believe can easily slot into any wardrobe, from Ancient Greek Sandals to J Brand 811 jeans to Nike Air Max Thea sneakers. And they're worth investing in, according to everyone, so the justification doesn't get much better than that. Scroll below for our edit of the most searched-for pieces available on Net-a-Porter now.
Needle & Thread creates dreamy wedding-guest dresses and bridesmaid dresses—perhaps explaining why they are so searched-for.
These sneakers are one of the most searched-for pairs of trainers, and it's perhaps not surprising, given they have been spotted on the likes of Kendall Jenner and Olivia Palermo.
