I'm a 20-Something Beauty Editor in NYC—Shop My 30 Fall Staples
Most Wanted is a weekly series in which one editor, staffer, or influencer shares their top 30 must-haves or current wish-list items.
I'm not going to lie. I have a pretty fun job. My days consist of trying the latest beauty products and trends, dashing all over New York City to learn about them, and writing stories about new products, treatments, ingredients, and more. My favorite part is getting to introduce people to the products that I absolutely adore.
This fall, there are too many launches to keep track of. But of all the products that I've tested and learned about lately, these are the 30 I would buy if I were you. Keep scrolling for the beauty buys I promise you won't regret.
Inspired by Alasdair McLellan's Tumblr-era photo of two boys called "The Perfect Kiss," this fragrance encapsulates the feeling of diving into a kiss, inhibitions loose and eyes closed. It will make you smell like a human candle in the best way possible.
This candle smells like a fall bonfire, and every time I sniff it, I'm suddenly 15 again and meeting my high school crush at a corn maze. It's the kind of candle you'll be sad to burn but won't want to stop burning.
Saffron, orange blossom, and lavender come together for a spicy take on a classic. This scent is sure to turn heads.
Brow gel will forever be on my list as a major beauty staple. This brow wax brushes brows into place while adding the perfect wash of color to fill them in.
For that effortless, French-girl, just-been-kissed lip, try this sheer lipstick. It comes in a reusable case, so you can keep refilling it.
Concealers are often seen as supplementary to foundation, but this concealer does it all. It brightens, moisturizes, and does an amazing job at evening skin tone.
Listen. As someone who works in the beauty industry, I am very rarely floored by any product. This hyaluronic acid system, however, has my jaw on the ground. To use, you combine freeze-dried hyaluronic acid capsules with a serum to apply to skin. Did I mention that each capsule contains the same amount of hyaluronic acid as nearly seven bottles of typical hyaluronic acid serum? Hello, plump skin.
If there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I ride for Kate McLeod body stones. I rave about them and bring them with me everywhere. (They're so easy to travel with!) I have exceptionally dry skin, and these stones make it baby-smooth. I love the new fall scents.
I've never used a stranger eyeliner—and that's a compliment. I love using eyeliner to create artistic, graphic lines, but traditional eyeliner makes it tricky. This one is for everyone who loves to play with makeup.
For me, fall means one thing: time to break out the red lipstick. I'm such a fan of classic red shades, but I hate when they transfer or smudge throughout the day. This one stays put and delivers maximum, high-impact color payoff.
I love a small indulgence, and there's nothing better for that than a luxe shower gel. Not only will this look gorgeous in your shower, but it also smells divine.
This earthy shade was all over New York Fashion Week and is the perfect twist on a classic red.
Why aren't there more overnight treatments for your hands? I am absolutely obsessed with this repairing hand treatment that has ingredients like retinol and colloidal oatmeal for youthful, soft hands. Plus, it looks absolutely adorable on my nightstand.
When I first smelled this perfume, it was at a cake-making class with Milk Bar. One of the bakery's secrets is drenching their cakes in vanilla-spiked milk, and I actually couldn't discern where this perfume stopped and actual vanilla milk started. If that's your vibe, you'll want to drench yourself in this fragrance.
Renée Rouleau's cult-favorite Triple Berry Smoothing Peel is back, and it's better. It works like a charm to smooth skin (and it looks good enough to eat).
Not only do I want this candle for the scent (it's made to capture Diptyque's first boutique in Saint-Germain with notes like mosses, blackcurrant leaves, and sun-dried fig leaves), but I also know it will look incredible in my bedroom.
Smooth this on before your makeup for the ultimate radiant glow.
I'm currently planning for my next tattoo, and this skin-recovery emulsion is the first of its kind for post-procedure skin healing.
I've been dyeing my hair dark for about a year now, and after a few weeks, it always starts to pull red tones. This leave in toning spray is the easiest way to cool it down.
This serum evens out skin tone with niacinamide, mandelic and gluconic acid, and microalgae. It's your one-stop shop for a seamless complexion.
Balm lipstick hybrids are the ultimate product to toss in your purse when you're going into the office. I'll be using this on repeat all season.
When Urban Decay says this lipstick is long-lasting, it means it—it lasted through coffee, a bagel, a sandwich, a glass of champagne, and a piece of pizza, all without losing its shine.
I almost forgot about Generation G, but with three new shades, it's back on my radar. Thank goodness for that—it's the ultimate no-makeup lip product.
A Le Labo and the Met collab? This candle is like if the two coolest people you know had a baby.
If you struggle with dark circles and puffiness, this ultra-luxe eye cream will help stop those in their tracks. It's filled with tons of highly potent actives to make you as bright-eyed as possible.
So many mascaras are just okay, but Tower 28's new launch is fantastic. It's infused with something called Aquaflex technology, which uses memory to hold a curl in place.
These complexion drops combine the best of both worlds in the realm of skincare and foundation. The result is skin that looks absolutely airbrushed.
In a launch that truly needs no introduction, Nécessaire has come out with haircare products.
For a natural flush, this is top-notch. A little goes a long way, so you're set on blush for a while.
