This month, we're talking to Millie Bobby Brown. The actress-turned-beauty mogul is well known for her starring role in Netflix series Stranger Things, and has since created her eponymous beauty brand, Florence by Mills. To celebrate the launch of her first-ever fragrance, we spoke to the star all about her favourite beauty products and tips. Trust us, you won't want to miss this…
1. Which makeup product gives you the biggest mood-boost?
My Built to Lash Mascara.
2. If you could steal someone else’s makeup bag, whose would it be?
My nan's!
3. You’ve got a spot. Are you team pop it, or team leave it alone?
Oooh, I'm team pop it.
4. You only have one product to use for the rest of your life—what is it?
The Dreamy Dew moisturiser from Florence by Mills.
5. What’s the best piece of beauty advice that you have ever received?
Don't let anyone dull your sparkle.
6. It’s a bad hair day, what do you do?
I... have a bad hair day.
7. What is your signature fragrance?
My new fragrance, Wildly Me.
8. Strong lip or a strong eye?
Strong lip.
9. You’re having your nails done, what’s your go-to colour?
10. What is your beauty philosophy in a sentence?
Less is more.
11. What is your favourite lipstick colour?
Brown. A '90s brown.
12. What’s your biggest beauty no-no?
Don't touch your eyebrows.
13. Candles, reed diffusers or nothing at all?
Both—candles, diffusers and incense! Incense is a really big one in my house. You rarely see diffusers, it's mostly incense.
14. If you could share one piece of beauty advice, what would it be?
Wear sunscreen.
15. What beauty product do you recommend to everyone?
The Florence by Mills Sunny Skies SPF moisturiser.
16. Name one beauty product that is always in your handbag?
Our Glow Yeah lip oil.
17. Are you team dewy or matte?
Team dewy.
18. The greatest drugstore product for under £10?
Bath salts.
19. Your brows, in one word:
Non-existent.
20. Your worst hairstyle (or hair moment) ever…
When I shaved my hair off and it grew to be the half-pixie, half "I-want-to-be-long" style.
21. You have to wear your hair crimped or blue eyeshadow for the rest of your life: Which do you choose?
Hair crimped.
22. Makeup primer: Love it or hate it?
Hate it.
23. Confession time—how often do you clean your makeup brushes?
Oh god, I don't want to say it out loud. Maybe once a week?
24. What beauty rule do you always break?
I don't think I break any. I could not bear going to sleep with my makeup on, or even just an ounce of it. I cannot bear it. I don't actually know if I break any—boring!
25. Would you rather have ultra-skinny brows or bleached brows?
Bleached brows.
26. Which celebrity’s hair would you love to steal?
Blake Lively's.
27. Which era of beauty inspires you most?
The '90s.
28. Eyelash curlers: love them or hate them?
I hate them but I have to love them because I have no eyelashes.
29. Best beauty hack?
Let me think... Okay, this is something that I definitely do. Because I have long nails, when I do my eyeliner, I get my long nail at the end and I pull it and it makes it sharp. That's the only way I can do a sharp wing.
