The 29 Prettiest Pieces I Found at Madewell, Free People, and Gap
If I were to combine the online inventory at Madewell, Free People, and Gap, I reckon there would be hundreds of thousands of items to choose from. Talk about overwhelming. But since it's my job to do the shopping for you, I rounded up some of the very best pieces from these affordable retailers, starting at $20 and capping out at $130.
Looking for some cute, quality basics? I found a striped T-shirt, white tank top, band tee, puff-sleeve blouse, and more. If you're anxiously looking forward to sunny days ahead, I found some amazing dresses and blouses that are begging to be added to your closet. And if you're planning on staying home for the time being, like me, I've also found soft, cozy sweatshirts, knit dresses, and pajama pants. Yep, there's something for everyone. Scroll down to shop my favorite items from Madewell, Free People, and Gap.
This LBD is particularly easy to wear thanks to the soft knitted material.
You can never have too many floral dresses.
Tops
Free People is one of my favorite places to shop for vintage-looking band tees.
Madewell's basic T-shirts come in a slew of different colors and are always well-reviewed.
I love the square neckline and subtly puffed sleeves on this charming top.
Shoes
Birkenstocks are iconic for a reason: They're comfortable, practical, and always cool.
Sweatshirts, Sweatpants, and Sweaters
You might already love Lively's bras, but the brand also makes a mean pair of sweats.

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
