Converse Sneakers Just Had a Very Relevant (and Unexpected) Autumn Update
Who doesn’t love sneakers? They’re versatile, comfortable, and never go out of style. But among the many brands that go in and out year after year, there’s one brand that we find ourselves drawn back to time and time again. No matter how far we venture, Converse is always there to win us back with classic designs and undeniable comfort-level. Not to mention, the shoe is unquestionably an icon by now. In fact, we’re willing to bet you’ve owned at least one pair of the classic shoes at some point in your life.
So when we saw the newest iteration of the brand’s signature One Star style, to say we were excited would be an understatement. Not only do the shoes feature a height-enhancing platform (winning over our editors on the shorter side), but they also come in autumn’s favourite fabric: Corduroy. Quintessentially “cool”, corduroy is the laid-back, yet fashionably retro style we’re loving in all forms this season—and these shoes confirm that the material works well on basically anything.
To make things even better, Converse seems to be paying attention to trending colourways, offering the shoe in the hues we’ve been spotting on repeat both on and off the runways such as bright yellow and moss green. The best news? True to the brand’s nature, the shoes (despite the collaboration with MadeMe) still clock in at $160—far cheaper than other designer sneaker brands. If we’ve convinced you that this is a style you’re ready to invest in (or at least entertain the idea of), keep scrolling to see our picks from the Converse X MadeMe collection below.
