Kate Middleton's look for her latest public appearance was decidedly more, well, nautical than what we're used to seeing her wear. But as we recently reported, she has a new stylist (and former British Vogue editor) that's helping to craft her looks as of late, and she's keeping us on our toes. The nautical-inspired look is one that instantly gave us visions of chic Parisian girls. Sure, Breton stripes and navy, red, and white may be a bit of a French-girl cliché, but honestly, sometimes style clichés are just true, and that doesn't make them a bad thing. (Think NYC girls wearing a lot of black or Southern girls wearing a lot of floral dresses.)
Clichés aside, Middleton's nautical striped sweater, navy sailor trousers, red clutch, and block heels looked exceptionally chic for her appearance at the launch of the King's Cup Regatta today in London, and it's one of her easier looks to re-create. Just keep scrolling to see how to do just that.
