Jennifer Lawrence Isn't Over This Flat-Shoe-and-Anti-Jeans Combo—Neither Am I

Everybody take note, for Jennifer Lawrence has just delivered a lesson plan in winter layering. Heading out for lunch in New York, the Oscar-winning actress expertly layered several key autumn/winter trends to deliver a tailored look that I'll be copying all season long. Plucking from her favourite brand, The Row, Lawrence styled the Clancy Coat in Virgin Wool, which features a relaxed cut and single-button fastening, with the brand's Rufos Pleated Twill Wide-Leg Pants in an espresso shade that fell below her ankles for a floor-grazing finish. When worn together, these oversized items could have overwhelmed Lawrence's look, but instead, she retained a polished silhouette that looks cosy yet smart, though the use of clever accessories.
Styling her layered outfit with yet more pieces from The Row, Lawrence created structure in her look with a black leather belt, which was further smartened with trending leather ballet flats. Sticking with leather accessories, she finished off the look with a small shoulder bag from Aupen.
On Jennifer Lawrence: The Row Clancy Coat in Virgin Wool (£5220), The Row Rufos Pleated Twill Wide-Leg Pants (£1380), The Row Black Ozzy Slippers (£720), The Row Leather Belt (£500), Aupen Fearless Re-Edition (£286)
Voluminous, wide-leg trousers are right on trend this season for their comfortable feel and dramatic flair. And although they've been trending for several years, this season's pairs are extra wide and predominantly available in smart, sophisticated shades including brown, grey, black and beige.
Though Lawrence's trousers come in at over £1000, below I've rounded up the best wide-leg trousers at various price points available to buy now. Read on to shop Lawrence's look along with our favourite wide-leg trousers.
