3 (Secretly Affordable) Party Outfits I'm 100% Copying This Season
Sponsor Content Created With Express

Be warned: the holiday party circuit is about to be back with a vengeance, and it requires outfits. To get through December, I'm personally on the hunt for statement-making looks that will get me through our WWW holiday party, family gatherings, and New Year's Eve. And that's just to start—bonus points for affordability and double bonus points for pieces that I'll actually want to wear again after the clock strikes midnight on December 31.
TikToker and model Taylor Hage is always a solid source of party-outfit inspo, and she tells me she's determined to make up for a holiday season spent in loungewear last year. This winter, she's all about punchy colors and luxe fabrics for every occasion on her calendar, and her current favorite outfits from Express prove that such major looks don't have to cost a fortune. If you're also in need of some holiday outfit inspiration, keep scrolling for the secretly affordable looks I'm planning on copying.
Red on Red

Feeling festive, but making it fashion. This outfit is giving off some serious '90s-supermodel energy (I mean, the fit, the red on red, the black strappy sandals—need I say more?), which makes it the perfect choice for any New Year's Eve party this year. According to Hage, this year feels very different from 2020. "There is so much more excitement and liveliness around the holidays, so my approach is all about 'more is more.'"
A Little (Faux) Leather

If an effortless, Parisian vibe is kind of your thing, opt for a classic tailored look with a little drama. "I love dressing up shorts with a blouse and a great pair of boots. It's elevated and fits the vibe for most of these events." These faux-leather shorts are the perfect trans-seasonal piece that will still be on-trend right through next summer. Paired with this subtly textured shirt, sheer tights, and knee-high boots, they make a very cool holiday 'fit.
A Sequin Situation

It's the '70s vibes for me. Wear this unapologetically to any New Year's Eve party. Hage says that, when it comes to the holidays, "Sequins are a must!" And while this head-to-toe sparkly look has a jumpsuit effect, it's actually two separate pieces, which makes it versatile as well. Paired with an oversize white button-down and heels, these flare pants can live on long after party season. Throw on some wide-leg jeans and sneakers with the bodysuit, and you've got yourself a casual yet elevated look that will serve you well any time of year. Also, note the accentuated shoulder, a little detail that makes the bodysuit feel extra luxe and fashion-forward.

Nayiri is Who What Wear's Commercial Strategy Director for Branded Content and is based in her hometown, Los Angeles. It all began in 2014 when she landed an internship at the company and never looked back. While she does love writing her fair share of fashion stories, her heart really belongs in the brainstorm room, where she has fun strategizing different ways to create content with our fashion partners so that you engage with the brands you know and love. If she had to pick one person's wardrobe to raid, it would be Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's, and she also has a major obsession with interior design. She's a mom to a girl named Sophie, and she fully plans on training her to spot fashion trends by the time she's 10.
