These 5 H&M Trends Won't Be in Stock in 2019
There's much to be looking forward to when it comes to 2019's best affordable fashion moments. Gone are the days when there are two peak periods (February and September) when the really good stuff filters into stores. These days, there is a daily influx of super items to select from. One brand that has really picked up some trend-hitting steam heading into the second half of 2018 is H&M, and we, therefore, have rather high hopes of what the affordable Scandi brand is set to offer in the New Year.
This year, we've seen its printed wrap dresses (specifically snake- and leopard-print) take center stage on Instagram, along with teddy-bear coats (honestly, they don't stay in stock for more than two mins) and a pink-and-red color-blocked skirt (bravo if you got hold of that It buy).
These sought-after items are still standing up as solid investments for the coming months. They also hint toward what other pieces, trends, and categories are worth checking out from H&M for the future. Keep scrolling to see what's being hyped up from the label and see our top H&M picks available now.
CHECKS, CHECKS AND MORE CHECKS
I almost didn't have time to write this story because I wanted to get straight to Alex Stedman's tartan skirt and buy it without delay. H&M have seen success with checked coats and trousers lately, so we predict this is one reliable print trend that will continue well into 2019.
EXPENSIVE-LOOKING KNITWEAR
If there's one thing we've truly enjoyed wearing from H&M this year, it's the sweet knits. Coming in neutral colors and simple shapes, they look far more expensive than the price tags, and they'll last for a long, long time. Just ask Lindsey—we're certain she'll wear this cardi on repeat for many seasons to come.
"OFF" COLORS
Mette's emerald-green tutu skirt is just one of the many more unusual colorful pieces that H&M has been offering up (you'll find all sorts of offbeat hues online at the moment). The fashion crowd will get to them fast—trust me.
PLAIN MIDI DRESSES
Although H&M has been a go-to for printed dresses this year, we'd perhaps be more likely to recommend the brand's plainer and simpler midis when it comes to everyday pieces to wear on repeat. Monikh's elegant cream style is a perfect example of buying one that won't date.
CLASSIC COATS
From camel overcoats to beige faux-fur jackets, H&M's subtlest pieces of outerwear are being snapped up left, right, and center. Considering many of us don't buy coats until later in the winter season, you'll do well heading here for this specific trend in early 2019.
