The Lazy Girls' Guide to Gifting This Christmas
This year, you will not leave your shopping until the last minute. We will make sure of it. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be bringing you all the very best present ideas, tips and tricks to prep you for the busiest time of the year.
To kick things off, we’ve put together the ultimate checklist for you to follow—so you'll still have time to enjoy a pre-Christmas cocktail or two. Keep scrolling to see how to nail your Christmas shopping, then shop some of our favourite gifts.
Sit down with a pen and paper (how old school), and write out who you plan to give presents to this year—so basically, it’s your version of a naughty or nice list. Be sure to remember people like colleagues, neighbours and a few extra knick-knacks for unexpected visitors.
This is where it gets tricky, but our advice? If you set a budget and stick to it, January won’t be so terrifying. It’s also good to remember, gifting isn’t always about the money, so divvy up the funds but get creative too with some DIYs and kind gestures (who doesn't love a week's worth of home-cooked meals?).
Be real. The week before Christmas is full of parties and events. You can be certain that you won’t get anything done that week. And leaving it until Christmas Eve is never fun. Draw up a calendar and set aside some time from now to get. It. Done.
