As an experienced shopper, I'm aware that investing in a new season is all about balance. But when it comes to affordable clothes, I do think it's possible to buy pieces with a designer vibe without straying into copycat territory.
With luxe-looking, affordable pieces, I usually find that it's best to keep it simple. Shoes and outerwear are two of my go-tos when going the cheaper route. Sleek ballet flats or a structured wool coat both have a timelessness to them and can dress up a look without actually requiring spending a ton. Since my daily uniform often starts around the very simple combination of light-wash vintage jeans and a white tank top, I rely on shoes, tailored separates, and jewelry to transform the look into something more polished.
