The Elegant Sneaker Trend Fashion People Are Swapping Suede for This Spring

Okay, okay, so suede sneakers are certainly not going anywhere anytime soon (thank goodness—I just invested in two low-profile pairs), but I can say with certainty that I've been noticing a sleeker, more delicate style reign supreme this season: satin sneakers. The pretty sneaker trend is a natural extension of ballet sneakers that have been taking center stage for the past few seasons—a hybrid model that combines comfortable slim soles with a ballerina-inspired soft and elegant satin upper. The fashion set has certainly been embracing the elegant trend that made its mark on the spring 2026 runways (e.g., Prada, Dries Van Noten, and Simone Rocha, to name but a few), sweetening up everything from denim to dresses.

While the designer iterations are beautiful and definitely worth the investment (especially Miu Miu's pretty pair), if you'd rather dip your toe into the trend on a budget, there are plenty of affordable options from Zara, Mango, Dolce Vita, and more.
