No One Styles Jeans Like Chic Europeans Do—7 Effortlessly-Chic Outfits I’ll Be Copying This Season
From Paris to Stockholm, I've rounded up seven effortlessly-chic jeans outfits that I'll be copying from my favourite European fashion people.

t’s officially the middle of autumn here in the UK. But to be honest, it didn’t really hit me until last week, when the temperature really dropped, that we’re well into the cold-weather season. This, of course, meant that I finally took the time to pack away my breezy linen and cotton trousers to make room for all of my jeans. Let’s be honest, jeans are in no way a seasonal item, but I tend to only keep 1 or 2 pairs out throughout the warmer months for those occasional chilly summer days. Now I’ve finally unpacked my collection of different denim washes, cuts, and lengths, ready to style up for the rest of autumn. winter and well into next spring.
My first point of inspiration? My favourite European fashion influencers, of course. I’m a firm believer that no one can style denim like a Euro girl. From the daring silhouettes I see on my commute to work in London to sleeker styles found on the more minimalist Scandi fashion set, I found a number of effortlessly chic outfits that I saved to my Instagram folder to copy.
If you, too, are in need of some fresh denim inspiration, keep scrolling for seven jeans outfits from seven different Euro destinations to copy this season.
Stockholm, Sweden
Relaxed Blazer + Wide-Leg Jeans + Slingbacks
Style Notes: If you’re looking for an outfit, sleek, elegant, and minimal, there’s no better place to look than the Scandi fashion girls. Hanna (pictured above) makes her simple black blazer and white tee look chic by pairing them with grey wide-leg jeans and chic burgundy mules.

Bowling bags are having a moment.
Paris, France
Leather Jacket + Flare Jeans + Suede Boot
Style Notes: French and flared jeans go hand in hand at this point, and I love the contrast of the deep blue denim and buttery soft chocolate leather in this outfit. It perfectly balances classic and modern appeal.
Shop the Look:
London, England
Wool Coat + Barrel Jeans + Chelsea Boots
Style Notes: I spot barrel jeans at least once a day on my commute to and from work, so it’s only fitting that London fashion influencers are embracing this more dramatic silhouette as well. To make the style feel less out there, pair it with a classic wool coat, top, and Chelsea boots.
Shop the Look:
Milan, Italy
Trench Coat + Baggy Jeans + Leather Boots
Style Notes: nown for their easy elegance, it should come as no surprise that the Italian girls are styling their jeans in a way that looks intentional but requires minimal effort. There’s just something so chic about a black trench, and I love this timeless item being paired with the more modern washed-out denim.
Shop the Look:
Oslo, Norway
Cropped Trench + Straight Jeans + Ballet Flats
Style Notes: A trench coat is a classic London-girl style, so of course, the Oslo girls had to make it even cooler by opting for cropped iterations that feel a lot less formal than their longer counterparts. Between that and the zebra-print ballet flats, this is an outfit that is equal parts timeless as it is fresh.

Khaite jeans come editor-approved.
Copenhagen, Denmark
Stripe Shirt + Light-Wash Jeans + Loafers
Style Notes: Copenhagen fashion people always manage to make jeans feel like a statement, and Anne’s above pairing of light-wash barrel style with a fun striped shirt is the perfect inspiration for those looking to combine form and function. The structured blazer and chunky loafers make this perfect for the office as well.
Shop the Look:
Barcelona, Spain
Denim Jacket + Cuff-Hem Jeans + Trainers
Style Notes: It may be called the ‘Canadian Tuxedo’, but I had no desire to try out this outfit formula for myself until I spotted it on Spanish influencer Kristen (pictured above). The denim jacket in the above bomber silhouette as well as the cuff-hem on the jeans just make it feel a lot cooler than your typical double-denim outfit.
