Hate Wearing All Black? Cool Girls Wear It With This Anti-Trend Color to Make It Look Fresher
We'll be wearing this on repeat all Fall.
Even though August has just started and there's plenty of summer left, we're already looking ahead to fall and the layered outfits that await us once the warm weather comes to an end. And while it's easy to just get rid of all the fun summer color and revert to all-black looks, it doesn't have to be that way. Fall can be fun too.
Take Chase Sui Wonders most recent outfit. Yes, she wore it in the summer. And yes, it is a perfect outfit for a cooler August evening. But it is also the perfect outfit to wear once the air starts to get a little bit crisp.
Chase Sui Wonders's Outfit
On Chase Sui Wonders: Valentino SS26 top and pants, Valentino Devain Shoulder Bag ($2,200) and Valentino open toe revele suede pumps ($1,100)
While attending the premiere or I Want Your Sex New York, Wonders wore head-to-toe Valentino. Her black lace top from the Spring/Summer 2026 collection featured a shawl that cascaded over her shoulders and was matched with a pair of navy silk trousers from the same runway. She accessorized the look with Valentino's Devain shoulder bag and the freaky open toe revele pumps.
Whoever made up the antiquated fashion rule that you can't wear black with navy was so wrong. Catch us wearing black lace tops with silk navy pants all fall.
