What Our Editor Is Shopping for the First Month of Spring

The first of the month has come around so quickly, but the good news is, it's a cause for celebration. Today signals the first day of spring (officially the best day of the year in our books), so we can put away the heavy coats (kind of), and embrace lighter fabrics, brighter colours, and new season fashion.

For September, I’m definitely shopping for more colour. Blush pink is my new neutral, and pops of green and cobalt blue will add a really fresh feel to the pieces I already own. Of course, I’m adding some black and white pieces, but they’ll be the backbone of my wardrobe for the season ahead.

Keep scrolling to peep the items I’m adding to my wardrobe this month, and shop some for yourself if you’re convinced you need them too.

I thought I'd seen every possible choker that existed. I was wrong. Need. This. Now.

I'm obsessed with this blush shade, and want to push pieces in this colour all through my wardrobe. I plan on wearing this top with my vintage Levi's jeans.

I've already added a pair of black mules to my collection, so it only makes sense to also add a baby pink pair. Starting with this affordable version before I decide if it's worth the splurge.

This LBD is the perfect intro to spring. I'm crossing my fingers for some early beach days so I'll need this on hand to throw over my cozzie for beach to bar.

These tropical earrings make me smile when I look at them. I'm sold.

Kendall and Gigi declared 2016 to be the year of pants. If that's the case, I need to add some spring pairs to my collection. I'll be wearing these with crop tops and tie-back tops.

The weather is still pretty cool during spring, so a knit dress is the perfect piece to wear to work.

I love that this silk maxi skirt has ruching, so I can take it up or down a notch.

A new season calls for a new bag and spring just makes me want to wear all of the colours. If you still haven't invested in a Mansur Gavriel, I highly recommend.
