We've already discussed the best investments when it comes to bags and jewelry, and now I wanted to delve into the world of shoes. When I think of perennially classic designer shoes, some favorites come to mind: Gucci sneakers, Chanel slingbacks, Manolo Blahnik sandals, and Chrisitan Louboutin pumps, just to name a few. But when it comes to the buzziest shoes right this very second, our friends at The RealReal told us that there are five styles in particular that are reigning supreme.

The RealReal's head of womenswear, Sasha Skoda, told Who What Wear about the most-coveted shoes right now. "We're seeing an opening in the market post–Phoebe Philo Celine, and Daniel Lee's Bottega is filling that white space for minimal design," Skoda said. "We've seen resale value for Bottega strengthen under Daniel Lee—to the tune of four times stronger resale value than non–Daniel Lee Bottega. That said, his stretch sandals are not only commanding a high ROI but are also propelling the square toe trend."

Scroll down to see the other four shoes The RealReal says are retaining their value exceptionally well on the resale market right now.

Next, four trends Anna Wintour said she loved last year—and three she hated.

Erin Fitzpatrick
Senior News Editor

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 12 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of senior news editor (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
