The holiday season is full of parties and get-togethers (read:so many outfits to plan), but it’s also a time for reflection and looking back. As we prep our wardrobes for all of the end-of-year-festivities and the year ahead, we’ve found ourselves reminiscing about all of 2016’s biggest trends. Bodysuits? Check. Velvet? Yes, please. Pajama dressing? Of course. And we’re by no means ready to leave any behind just yet. If you’re with us on that, fear not: As we’ve discovered, these trends are so easy to incorporate into your holiday party wardrobe rotation. Slip dresses are reigning supreme as the party dress, for instance, and bell-sleeve blouses are an easy layering piece for chillier months. Velvet Slip Dresses
Velvet is showing up on everything this season, from everyday ankle boots to party-ready clutches, and here, it meets the slip dress (another big 2016 trend). Wear it over your favorite blouse or turtleneck for an unexpected holiday look.
Barely-There Heels
Barely-there heels are a wardrobe staple, and it’s easy to see why. The delicate straps work to elongate the legs, and the style is right in line with fashion’s current ’90s obsession.
Pajama Dressing
At once comfortable and luxurious, pajama dressing had a resurgence with celebs toward the end of this year, and we couldn’t be happier about it. This PJ-inspired blouse is a super-wearable way to embrace the look that's appropriate for work and play.
Bell Sleeves
The bell sleeves on this blouse look über-chic peeking out of the bottom of a sweater, or try layering the top under a looser dress on chillier nights. Bonus: This one comes with an of-the-moment choker collar.
Bodysuits
No longer relegated to off-duty looks, bodysuits were everywhere in 2016, and they’re not going anywhere anytime soon. Pair this one with some raw hem jeans for holiday drinks with your girls.
COLD SHOULDER
The off-the-shoulder trend becomes winter-appropriate with this cozy sweater complete with shoulder cutouts.
