I'm Still Wearing Red Tights Deep Into 2024, and These Are the Best on the Market

I'll be the first to admit it: Trends are flying at the speed of light these days. So when I first spotted red tights on the runways back in February of 2023, I assumed it would be one of those trends that would burn bright and fade out at the season's end. Flash forward 14 months later, red tights just won't quit. I saw how the trend stretched out for months into the fall and winter, and now that spring is officially here, color me surprised to find that I haven't put my red tights away just yet.

I'm not the only one who's keeping the top drawer item in rotation. Fashion data expert @databutmakeitfashion shared in January that red socks were up 30% in searches, sealing the deal for their popularity in 2024. Despite my initial surprise, it's clear to me now why the trend is still in demand. Most red tights on the market come at an affordable price point, making it an easy and versatile buy that'll blow you away with its cost-per-wear. It's also a small investment that comes with a bigger return by the impact it has on an outfit, as it can easily amp up any ensemble. Fall and winter formulas consisted of tights layered underneath chunky knits and thick wool coats, and I'm predicting spring's versions will feature them styled with poplin dresses, mini skirts, and lightweight cardigans.

Keep reading to see exactly how to style them and shop for the best red tights on the market right now.
