You may have noticed that everyone is very (very) into Fendi right now. The glorious renaissance of Karl Lagerfeld’s FF logo print is warming the nostalgic little hearts of cool kids everywhere—to the point that, like leopard print, the infinite logo design is now basically considered a goes-with-anything neutral.

While we haven’t shaved those Fendi Fs into our heads just yet (for those of you who don’t recall the fashion highlights of 2006, that’s a Kanye reference, and yes, I encourage googling it), a quick look around the Who What Wear office will tell you we’re all very much picking up what Fendi’s putting down.

I took a quick survey of the team to see what everyone’s winter style vibe is right this second and which Fendi accessories they’re currently coveting. (I included mine, too, because I heard the holidays are coming up?! Mum, Jake, are you reading this?)

How you think/secretly hope people describe your style behind your back: Hopefully as completely my own. I’m always looking to up my individuality with vintage and special pieces.

TV or movie character serving as your current style inspo: Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct. All tonal looks, all the time.

Accessories are a serious business because: As a celebrity stylist said to me in an interview recently, accessories can “polish or demolish your outfit.”

How you think/secretly hope people describe your style behind your back: Cool without trying too hard.

TV or movie character serving as your current style inspo: I just saw Crazy Rich Asians, and Astrid is my new life goal. Before her, definitely Carmela Soprano.

Accessories are a serious business because: They’re the make-or-break of my everyday jeans-and-tee combo. Without accessories, my style would be unbelievably boring.

How you think/secretly hope people describe your style behind your back: I think people probably say I have rather bold style. I love buying into trends, but I always try to mix them with the more timeless pieces in my wardrobe.

TV or movie character serving as your current style inspo: Not to be cliche, but Carrie Bradshaw 100%.

Accessories are a serious business because: They add that touch of personality your look might otherwise lack.

How you think/secretly hope people describe your style behind your back: Classic but modern—with a touch of glamour.

TV or movie character serving as your current style inspo: Gwyneth Paltrow in The Talented Mr. Ripley. I can’t stop thinking about her trench coat look.

Accessories are a serious business because: Mimi Cuttrell—the mastermind behind Bella Hadid’s outfits—told me she believes accessories can transform a simple look, and I couldn’t agree with her more.

How you think/secretly hope people describe your style behind your back: Like I love fashion but also have other things going on.

TV or movie character serving as your current style inspo: Steve McQueen in Bullitt. Very strong turtleneck-and-blazer game.

Accessories are a serious business because: They’re the secret sauce; they breathe new life into my “uniform.” You find the denim styles and so on that you know really work for you; then accessories let you reinvent your wardrobe staples season after season.

Natalie Cantell
Executive Director, Brand Studio

Natalie leads the style direction for the all content we create in partnership with our friends at various brands plus the legendary team of editors who work on those shoots and stories. She loves collaborating and storytelling, so it's a really fun role for her. It's also the first full-time job she's ever had! She started out in her career as a very mediocre model who agreed to her first styling job to impress a photographer she had a crush on, which led her down a happy path of contributing to Vogue Australia and working as a stylist, fashion writer, and creative director for all sorts of brands and titles. She has a bachelor of communications, but most of her career opportunities came up thanks to some fleeting and accidental street style moments. She's been at Who What Wear for three and a half years and still loves to work as a freelance consultant with brands and designers to shoot their campaigns in NYC. She's originally from New Zealand, and Bondi Beach is her second home, but like just about every other 20-something, she fell in love with New York at some point. She lives in Williamsburg with her fiancé and their weird little dog, Ruby. If you ever need reccies for feel-good fashion, legit coffee spots, politics podcasts, or non-intimidating yoga studios, she's very much your girl.
