I Live in NYC—Here's Everything I'm Buying From Amazon Before Winter Arrives
Winter in New York has a habit of sneaking up on you. One day you're walking home carrying your blazer, the next you're wishing you brought a warmer coat. Cold weather is not my jam, so it truly pains me to know that these unseasonably balmy fall days are going to give way to wind chill factors at any moment. Since I'm going to Paris next week, and then straight to the West Coast for Thanksgiving, I need to mentally prepare for a return to proper NYC winter.
I also need to actually prepare. There's nothing worse than coming home to freezing temperatures, only to realize your cozy things are MIA. Right about now is the time for me to get ahead of shopping for winter necessities, but I have zero time to do any shopping that's not online. If Amazon is your go-to for one-and-done shopping, then these picks are for you. From in-the-know beauty products to editor-approved winter fashion (care of The Shop by Shopbop), here are some random bits and pieces that make winter a whole lot better.
When I'm staying with my in-laws over the holidays, I always find I need cozy, comfy, but semi-presentable things to wear around the house. Sets like this are perfect, and this one comes in loads of colors (including plain or striped options).
I'm a stickler for bringing my reusable cup to get coffee on my morning dog walk, and am finally investing in one that will keep it warm when it's freezing out.
I usually let my hair air-dry, but that's not always the move when it's chilly out. Dyson remains an editor-favorite for gentle drying.
Maybe I'm too deep in the boat shoe trend, but these moccasin-style cozy slippers are doing it for me.
Is it just me, or do these feel a little festive?
I love everything from Nécessaire, but particularly this ultra-hydrating body serum with hyaluronic acid.
An extra-wide scoop neck (and variety of color ways) means this thermal layer works under more tops and sweaters.
