Alexa Chung Just Pulled Together the Perfect Spring Look, and You Already Own It
When looking for a shot of style inspiration, we often find ourselves turning to our favourite fashionable celebrities. But with the last few months of fancy awards looks, we're welcoming some simpler spring-ready relief, and as ever this comes courtesy of Alexa Chung; her latest look being so easy to re-create, you can likely do so with pieces you likely already own.
As exciting as it would be to have a black-tie event that calls for investing in an extravagant gown, it's even more exciting to spot a celebrity outfit that can be easily replicated from your own wardrobe. For Alexa Chung's recent look, she paired four staple items that we often praise for their timeless nature and versatile styling possibilities; a blazer, shirt, tailored trousers, and ballet flats. These four pillars of Alexa's look feature time and time again in our outfit builds and style suggestions. A great blazer that works just as well with smart trousers as with baggy jeans. Then a shirt comes in handy all year round, layered over thermals, or thrown loosely over a dress for sunny days, or even as a cover-up come holiday time. Smart, tailored trousers are hard-working additions to any wardrobe, for their ability to pair seamlessly with trainers for coffee dates all the way to refined evening ensembles when paired with strappy sandals. Last, but certainly not least, ballet flats have made their way back into our outfit rotas, adding a delicate finish to any look, from trending maxi skirts to staple jeans to slick tailoring.
Keep scrolling for the four key pieces that make up Alexa Chung's look, and are sure to work hard in your wardrobe.

2. SHIRTS
3. TAILORED TROUSERS
