When it comes to fashion trends and price points, unfortunately, we’ve found that not all are created equal. While that doesn’t mean there are any trends that are totally out of reach for those on a budget, finding affordable versions of certain ones simply comes easier than others. Take the trends I’ll be highlighting today, for example. While you could find them at any price point, you’ll soon see that the under-$100 iterations we’ve gathered today feel nothing short of a million bucks. So if you’re on a budget and looking to save but still want to snatch up some affordable and trendy items for spring and summer, let me suggest that you consider one of the six categories you’re about to read about and shop below.

Woven Bags

It seems like every warm-weather season, new iterations of the woven bag pop up that somehow top the last. This year there were too many cool, affordable options to choose from.

Puff-Sleeve Tops

While the puff-sleeve top trend seems to have some serious staying power, we still don’t think you need to invest a ton to get the look. The affordable options out there right now are that good.

Transparent

Whether you opt for a plastic-y accessory or an organza item of clothing, there’s no need to spend your life’s savings on the accessible transparent trend.

Lilac

Color trends are always the easiest to hit on because they come in so many iterations. From tops to jackets to accessories, the lilac possibilities are endless.

Windbreakers

Seeing as the windbreaker was originally for utility purposes, it’s no surprise that there are countless under-$100 options that rival the designer pieces from this season’s runways.

Editor-at-Large

Since starting as an intern back in 2013, Nicole Akhtarzad Eshaghpour has held several roles here at Who What Wear, and she is currently Editor-at-Large. It was a less expected route, seeing as she was graduating from business school at USC when this all began, but it has turned out to be the best one for her. Fast-forward to 2020, and she's moved to NYC from her hometown of Beverly Hills and spends her workdays a little differently from when she was an intern starting out. Currently, she focuses on a weekly mélange of shopping content. As far as her personal style goes, she's largely drawn to classic pieces and neutral basics but will always make an exception for something colorful, printed, or bejeweled as long as it's deemed worthy enough. After all, the only thing she loves more than a good party is dressing up for one. On weekdays, she can usually be found at home eating something delicious for dinner and trying to force her husband to watch 90 Day Fiancé.
