These 10 Nordstrom Styles Will Be the Breakout Stars of Your Spring Wardrobe
We’ve officially entered into mood-boosting March, and my shopping cart has taken that as permission to jump into a spring state of mind. Okay, so it may still be cold outside, but there’s nothing like scooping up some fresh new pieces to get myself excited for the warmer season ahead.
While you may already be armed with a handful of spring classics (hello, trench and Breton sweater), today, I’m turning to some of the trend-forward yet easily wearable pieces that will no doubt be the breakout stars of your spring wardrobe. In other words, these pieces, from preppy knits to maxi hemlines, will add a fresh, of-the-moment touch to your looks.
Nordstrom is a treasure trove of sartorial spring stars right now, and I’ve found the best pieces (all under $200!) to elevate your outfits in anticipation of the new season ahead.
Leather Biker and Bomber Jackets
Yep, the biker jacket is back. We’ve seen the leather topper all over the street-style set and on the runways this season. Opt for an oversize version to keep the look fresh.

Minis
High hemlines continue their dominance this spring. Whether you opt for a minimalist skirt or knit dress, it will add an of-the-moment touch to your wardrobe.
Shop:
Relaxed Tailoring
It’s all about loose and relaxed tailoring this spring season—easy to pair with everything from T-shirts to knits to oversize button-downs. No doubt one of the chicest breakout stars of your wardrobe.
Shop:
Preppy
The back-to-school vibe gets a modern update this spring with new proportions and modern silhouettes.
Shop:
Orange
Orange is having a major moment this season, and whether you add a pop of the mood-enhancing hue in the form of an accessory or go for a bold and bright dress, it will no doubt add maximum impact to your spring outfits.
Shop:
Cargo Pants
Cargo pants have reemerged from the depths of our Y2K closets, and this season, the functional pants feel surprisingly fresh. Moreover, they’re easy to style with just about everything.
Shop:
Strappy Halters
Delicate tie necklines are one of the sleekest and most alluring trends this season—guaranteed to add interest to every look.
Shop:
Loose Denim
The looser the better when it comes to denim this spring. The coolest way to keep your outfit majorly on-trend this season is with a slouchy, low-slung silhouette.
Shop:
Sporty
Sporty pieces made a solid statement on the runways and are dominating on Instagram. Time to bust out your tennis whites and retro sneakers.
Shop:
Maxi Lengths
In contrast to the minis (mentioned above), maxi hemlines are about to have their moment in the spotlight, too. This season’s iterations are seriously sleek and streamlined—one of my personal favorite luxe breakout stars this spring.
