I Just Found Fall 2025's Biggest Shoe Trends All at Nordstrom

One easy way I'm slowly shifting my outfits from summer to fall is with a trending new pair of shoes. I always find the change in season to be the perfect opportunity to invest in a chic new style and reinvigorate my wardrobe. Luckily, fall 2025's shoe lineup does not disappoint. After analyzing the F/W 25 runways as well as what the street style set are embracing, below I've listed seven specific styles that will have you looking altogether on-trend as we head into fall. The best part? You can shop them all from one place: our very trusty Nordstrom. From chic pumps to slouchy boots and slipper-inspired flats, take a look at these Nordstrom shoe picks that are guaranteed to get you fired up for fall.
Chic Pumps
Elegant pumps were all over the F/W 25 runways, from Saint Laurent to Prada. While they're a classic style, we're seeing fresh iterations for autumn—including some with details like bows and exotic finishes.

Boat Shoes
Boat shoes have been gaining momentum for the past few seasons, and this fall we'll be seeing the preppy shoes stealing the spotlight. Opt for luxe suede and leather styles, along with fun lace or decorative details that add a cool-girl touch to your denim, dresses, and miniskirts this fall.
Shop:
Slim Sneakers
Slide your chunky sneakers to the back of the closet for now and make room for slimmer silhouettes this fall. Slim sneakers are a favorite among the fashion set featuring thin soles and narrow silhouettes inspired by the track-and-field sneakers of the '70s. Try a sleek suede pair to lean into the autumnal shift.

Slipper-Style Flats
Cozy season is upon us, and we inherently want to lean into all things comfy, so there's no surprise, then, that slipper-inspired flat mules and shoes are trending for fall. If you don't want to splurge on The Row's Hugo suede mules, then there are plenty of similar styles to slip your feet into this fall.
Shop:
Slouchy Boots
At one end of the spectrum, skintight boots are back, and on the other we're seeing contrasting super-slouchy styles. When it comes to the latter, designers such as Isabel Marant and Louis Vuitton went for more exaggerated slouchy styles on the runway while the likes of Ralph Lauren and Zimmermann had a subtler approach to the boho silhouette.
Shop:
Croc Embossed
Elegant and luxurious-looking, exotic embossed shoes are back in a major way this fall—with faux-croc fabrics finishing everything from pumps to knee-high boots and even sneakers.
Shop:
Peep Toes
We saw peep-toe shoes gain momentum in the spring 2025 collections, and the silhouette shows no sign of slowing down for fall thanks to designers such as Miu Miu, Tory Burch, and Fendi, who featured them heavily in their collections. Take your pick of cutout shapes and toe placements this season.
