As normal ladies who don't have teams of people getting us ready every day, we rely on our own humble skills to get us dressed in the morning. From our years of being entirely sartorially self-sufficient, we've learned a few valuable tricks for getting dressed that we find incredibly helpful.

Just like Cher Horowitz taught us in Clueless some 20 years ago, mirrors often lie, but photos never do. Have your roommate or significant other take a photo of you to see what your outfit really looks like; if no one is available, a mirror selfie will suffice.
Panty lines are not a good look, ladies. Even if you think you're in the clear, take a look at your booty to make doubly and triply sure you're all set.

Take a look inside your handbag and make sure you have everything you might need: Band-Aids, oil wipes, extra mascara, whatever floats your boat. Your future self will thank you later.
This one is especially true if you're about to walk out in a brand-spankin'-new pair of shoes. You do not want a sneaky blister worming its way into your evening—so do your best to make sure that's not going to happen. Take a test walk around the house, and bandage your ankles and feet if you feel the slightest uncertainty regarding comfort.
