I Love a Good Minidress—5 Fresh Ways I'll Be Styling Them This Spring

There is nothing I love more than wearing a chic little minidress, putting in my headphones, and walking around New York City with the sun on my skin en route to meet friends for an Aperol spritz outside. It’s making me excited just thinking about it. I’m also on the shorter side—being only 5’2”—so length is usually an issue for me, but not with minidresses. I love the flirtiness that a short hem has, and now that it’s warming up, I am counting down the days until I can bust out my minidress collection.

I have such a thing for Western motifs so anytime I get to wear a pair of cowboy boots, I usually do. Pairing them with a minidress is the perfect look for a brunch or a day out on the weekends. It’s casual yet trendy and stylish.

Heeled Sandals + Aviator Sunglasses

I wore this look in Miami and it was a hit. If you’re styling a look for night out in the summer or a day party, I’d opt for this. This is also a great option for brunch or if you’re going on a trip.

Statement Earrings + Clutch

If I’m getting ready for a party or a cocktail hour, this is what I’m reaching for. The key is picking a simple dress and letting the earrings do most of the talking. I love how Emma chose this classic little black dress above and upped the glam factor with the earrings. It’s so good.

Socks + Heels

The socks and heels paired with a minidress are such a fashionable way to wear one. I love the scholastic vibe that this look has. Amy styled it perfectly above.

This is my go-to for a daytime look, especially if I’m on vacation. When it’s warm out, you can catch me wearing this almost every day on the weekends in New York. Casual, and comfortable, and you still feel flirty and dressed up.
