NYC Vintage—3 Stores You Don't Want to Miss

Great vintage stores can be hard to hunt down. Often the best ones are hidden in back alleys with unmarked entrances or are carefully guarded secrets among the fashion set. But when you find that perfect pair of worn-in Levi’s or a Rolling Stones band tee, the quest always feels worth it. So when we wanted inside intel on NYC’s coolest vintage stores, we knew it’d be worth it to turn to an expert.

Enter: creative consultant and stylist Rachael Wang. Wang’s closet is always brimming with cool vintage pieces, so her expert advice is clearly worth following. Ahead, Wang shares her favorite NYC vintage stores, including spots where you’ll find find Chanel bags, vintage military gear, and colorful cowboy boots. Then shop vintage-inspired denim from Re/Done, Levi’s, and Brock.

What Goes Around Comes Around in SoHo is a two-room boutique with one side focusing on men’s (really unisex) and the other on women’s,” Wang tells us. “It’s great for vintage Chanel bags and designer gems, and it has my favorite selection of vintage tees, denim, and leather belts.”

10 Ft. Single in Williamsburg is my favorite store for finding a bargain,” Wang tells us. “It’s stuffed to the gills, but everything is neatly organized by category, and you can find everything from the perfect sundress to ’80s windbreakers or colored cowboy boots all for really reasonable prices.”

Front General Store in DUMBO is a very curated experience,” Wang notes. “It has the most amazing vintage military and Americana.”

Go on to shop vintage-inspired denim.
