Shop Next Season’s Biggest Trend Right Now

If you follow Who What Wear Australia on Snapchat (WhoWhatWearAU), you’ll see that I’m currently on a shopping (and eating) tour of London—all in the name of research, of course.
As a fashion editor visiting the other side of the world, the most interesting part about being here for me, is seeing what’s happening in stores. Everything from fitting rooms to packaging is a whole new world of discovery.
So after wandering through every single NEXT, Zara, Topshop, River Island, H&M and Selfridges, I can safely say that next season, we will be inundated with all things velvet. Get ready for wide-leg culottes, blazers and high-neck shift dresses in the luxuriously soft fabric. We’re obviously about to hit high temps back at home, but I couldn’t resist leaving without picking up this slinky velvet camisole from J Brand at Selfridges. I’ll be wearing it to work with this white midi skirt and silk neck-tie.
Keep scrolling to see one of our favourite fashion-exports in the trend, and if you want a head-start, shop it now.
