My Fave 2000s Brand Is Selling More Shoes Than Ever—Here Are the 34 Best Buys
One of my new pandemic hobbies has been learning about the stock market, which includes paying attention to companies' revenue reports. (Nerdy, I know.) But this is why I stumbled upon a crazy fact: Steve Madden's most recent reports show the highest quarterly sales in the company's entire 31-year history. Plus, revenue was up 52% compared to the previous quarter. If you're a millennial like I am, this may come as surprising news. I was under the impression that the brand peaked around the early 2000s. But the numbers don't lie, so I must be wrong!
Given the news that Steve Madden is more popular than ever before, I thought it would be fun to do a roundup of editor-approved picks from the brand. Below, I handpicked some of my favorites, including knee-high platform boots (a favorite of Gen Z), ankle boots, block-heel sandals, and even one very bold pair of wedges.

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 12 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of senior news editor (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
