Living in the fashion capital of America is the best thing for a fashion girl like me. But being a New York City–based fashion editor means that not only am I always looking at different trends and for new brands around me to share with my readers, but I’m also always looking to up my personal style game.

Now that the weather is getting warmer, this is my time to shine. I love warm-weather fashion and plan to take full advantage of spring and summer to wear some of my best looks. There are five items that I really have my eyes on. Corset/bustier tops, all of the denim you can think of, midi dresses (of course), racerback tank tops and bodysuits, and Western-inspired fashion. I have been glued to my laptop shopping for all five of these trends, and luckily for you, I’m showing the best picks I could find.

Corset/Bustier Tops

I am absolutely obsessed with the corset/bustier top trend and sincerely hope it sticks with us for a while. These tops have become my go-to for a night out, they are also figure flattering. You can choose from more romantic, dainty, Bridgerton-esque style tops to edgier, leather corsets. You can style them with low-rise denim for daytime or a miniskirt for the evening. I can’t say how much I love this trend enough.

If you know me, you know I’m a denim girl. Jeans, cut-off shorts, denim skirts, denim dresses, you name it, I’ve worn it. As a former California girl I really cannot let go of my jeans, I wear them all the time and get overly excited when I can get a new pair. Keep scrolling to see some of my favorite denim.

Midi Dresses

Midi dress season is here, FINALLY! Last spring and summer I wore midi dresses on the daily. They’re my favorite thing to wear to the farmers market, running errands, or meeting someone for a lunch date during the day. Let me share a secret with you, wearing a midi dress is basically like wearing a glorified night-gown. They’re so pretty to look at and even more comfortable than sweats in my opinion. I have so many already, and yes I’ll be ordering more.

Racerback Tank Tops & Bodysuits

The most model-off-duty top of all of the model-off-duty tops. The racerback tank is the epitome of effortless cool fashion. You can wear them out at night, running around during the day, and even when you’re just hanging out at home. Style with leather pants, loose fitting denim, a mini or midi skirt, the options are endless. What’s even better is that this trend is so easy to participate in, since so many inexpensive options are available.

Western Influence

Oh yes, western style has been making a comeback these last few years and I’m not mad about it. I love a good cowgirl hat, a good pair of western boots, and I can even get on board with (some) turquoise jewelry. I plan to embrace this trend wholeheartedly, I mean I already have a pair of printed pants with horses on them, yes I know what that sounds like but trust me they’re cool.
