I cannot believe that 2022 is already coming to an end. I feel like I blinked, and the year went by. But there's something about the start of a new year that I have always loved. That feeling of wiping away the slate clean and going into a new, untouched year full of possibilities. Who knows who you're going to meet, what new friendships you're going to make, and what adventures you will embark on? Maybe you'll get a new job, or maybe this is the year you get married or move to that city you have always dreamed of living in.

There's just something about a new year that feels like anything is possible. While my list of resolutions for 2023 is very long, at the top of that list is making sure it is my chicest year yet. In 2022, I became a fashion editor, which has obviously upped my game when it comes to my personal style, but now that I've been in this role for a while, my style has only gotten better, and I plan on bringing it when it comes to my looks for 2023. I rounded up five outfit ideas that are simple, easy, and guaranteed to look chic for the New Year. I'm wanting easy looks for a casual day out or running errands that still look put-together as well as great outfit ideas for a night out or a dinner date.

Keep scrolling to see the five looks I can't wait to wear in my chicest year yet.

Striped Shirt + Long Coat + Baseball Cap

This look is at the top of my list when it comes to casual but put-together outfits. I see myself wearing this to run errands, for a casual coffee meet-up, or a weekend day out. I love how the matching hat and coat make this T-shirt, jacket, and baseball cap a look.

Tiny Top + Baggy Pants

I'm calling this outfit the "cool girl's night out go-to." The skimpiness of a tiny bra top balances out so well with the bagginess of loose-fitting cargo pants. Nitsan wore this look above to Coachella, but I could see myself wearing something like this to a day party in Brooklyn in the summer.

Cropped Matching Set

I have always been a fan of a matching set, especially a cropped blazer paired with a miniskirt or trousers. To me, this outfit is always a hit. Not only is a set always a smart, chic look, but adding the cropped hem also makes it feel younger and a little more fun. Catch me wearing this look to brunch or a party in the New Year.

Minidress + Blazer + Socks and Heels

I'm obsessed with this outfit. This look says "fashion person" with the styling choice of adding exposed socks with heels. Pairing a minidress with a blazer always creates a fun yet sophisticated and stylish look, and I'll definitely be copying this outfit formula for an event.

Cropped Top + Maxi Skirt

I have been seeing all of my favorite fashion people try out this outfit formula, and it's safe to say I'm a fan. I love the low-waisted moment with a maxi skirt paired with a crop top to show a little skin. I'm loving this for a night out or a date night.
