Meghan Markle's $200 Flats Are Made From Recycled Plastic Bottles

While heels are undoubtedly a wardrobe staple—and there’s certainly a time and place to wear a gorgeous pair—flat shoes are just as crucial to a woman’s wardrobe. Think about it: Can you really imagine running around between meetings without a trusty pair? Probably not. While you may already have a go-to set in your closet, there’s nothing wrong with trying out a new style to change things up.
As it turns out, Rothy’s may just have your next It pair. Meghan Markle recently stepped out in Sydney and Melbourne wearing a pair of the brand's black flats, and they look comfortable as ever. The environmentally-friendly brand features a range of flats made from a 3D knitting process that cuts down an extreme amount of waste. The material is made from 100% recycled plastic water bottles, which would have otherwise ended up in landfill. The shoes are also very comfortable, and their non-leather material wicks away moisture and—bonus—can be cleaned in the washing machine after heavy use.
Keep scrolling to check out the Meghan Markle wearing her Rothy's, and then shop the flats yourself. You’ll find a variety of colours along with a rounded toe and pointed silhouette—so there’s really something for everybody.
