30 Stylish, Summer-Ready Staples From M&S, Arket and Mango
If the weather forecast is anything to go by, summer is just around the corner, which means it's time to finally get out those linen shirts, floaty frocks and chunky sandals that have been lying dormant in the back of our wardrobes for the last eight months. Scrolling through the new-in sections of our favourite high-street brands, it's clear that the feel-good aesthetic is continuing into summer 2022.
I'm particularly enjoying the throw-on, wearable silhouettes in an eclectic mix of beiges and brights offered up by the likes of Marks and Spencer, Arket and Mango this season. I also recommend reaching for hard-wearing fabrics, such as linen, which will keep you cool, feel premium and look great for many seasons to come. M&S has plenty of winning linen buys in stock right now, as does Arket.
The other category at the top of my wish list is warm weather–ready one-pieces, which are sure to save plenty of styling time in the morning. (See Mango's green tie-waist jumpsuit and the M&S spot tea dress.) So whether you're just looking for some inspo to kick-start your summer outfits or a new piece to complete your capsule, scroll down to shop the best summer buys from M&S, Arket and Mango.
Mango
This season, Mango has really delivered on colour, texture and fun pieces. Green is key, and attention to detail with ruching, fringing and feathers is what to look out for.
Arket
Arket sticks to its favourite formula of wearable tailoring and minimalist silhouettes this season. I recommend mixing things up with striped separates and the odd pop of colour with all the fresh summery shades on offer.
To wear with the matching shirt.
Marks and Spencer
As always, M&S is leading the charge with expensive-looking linen buys. Add to this easy day dresses, staple denim and chunky sandals, and your summer capsule is sorted.
You can get this in regular, short or long lengths.
