It’s time, people! As of today, there are 65 days until Christmas, which may seem like a lot, but that means we only have about a month until party season kicks off. Crazy, right? We know most of you are still in end-of-summer mode (wasn’t it August yesterday?), but if we’ve learned anything from working in this industry over the years, it’s that preparation pays off. Not only do you bag the best bits, but you also avoid that panicked lunch-break dash on the day of the office party, which inevitably leads to an ill-fitting sale purchase you instantly regret the next morning.

No, we’re all about more considered purchases now. And since brands have begun steadily launching their party collections, we thought it was time to start rounding them up and bringing you the best bits so you can get a head start on outfit planning.

Let’s start with Karen Millen’s latest drop. One of those premium high-street destinations we always turn to when we want to up the glam, Karen Millen is perfect for the festive season. Reliably, every year, the brand launches an edit of luxe pieces that feel timeless enough to wear again and again. But the best thing about this collection is that it’s versatile, and we’re willing to bet there’s something here to suit everyone’s partywear preferences.

If you want to go all out, there’s this full red satin suit, for example, or the perfect sequin mini dress. More of a minimalist? This LBD or slinky ’90s slip dress would be perfect. If you prefer just a little sparkle for a more relaxed look, we love these sequin wide-leg trousers and plan on wearing them with simple cosy knits or basic tees. Of course, there’s always the jeans-and-a-nice-top combo, and we can totally imagine this bustier with a pair of full-length ripped jeans for a real Hailey Bieber-esque look.

So if you’ve been thinking about upgrading your partywear collection this year with one or two statement outfits or even starting fresh with some investment buys that will last you for many occasions to come, keep scrolling to see and shop our 21 favourite pieces from Karen Millen’s new collection. You won’t want to miss this.
