5 Holiday Outfits You Would Be Very Sad to Miss
Sponsor Content Created With PAIGE
When I think of getting dressed for the holidays, my mind goes in one of two directions: very sparkly or very comfy. To avoid showing up to the office party in a sweater, I was poking around the internet to find looks that fall somewhere in between, and much to my surprise, I was not disappointed. PAIGE's winter collection has pretty much every piece I'd be down to wear for the jam-packed holiday schedule I currently have waiting for me. I even found something I'd wear Christmas tree shopping. If, like me, you need some inspiration for this festive time of the year, keep reading.
To the Holiday Party
Yeah, you could opt for a dress, but when have you not felt like a badass in a suit? This crushed-rose satin suit from PAIGE has holiday written all over it, especially if you have a pair of white pumps you can wear with it. If you're feeling bold and trust your bra, by all means, wear the blazer sans top. For everyone else, I suggest styling a sheer, sparkly turtleneck underneath for maximum holiday-party style points (and then swap in a logo tee to make this suit work for daytime as well).
To Festive Outings
Some may call it extra; I call it fashion. Yes, you can wear sweats on your festive outings such as, say, picking out a tree, but what fun is there in that? Since there's a pretty good chance your excursion will end up on Instagram, I suggest going for a jacket that will make you look like Kate Hudson in Almost Famous and a pair of dark-wash jeans for your trek through the pine trees or any other holiday activity.
To Dinner With Your Future In-Laws
There's no easy way to put this: If your S.O. invited you over to meet the fam during the holidays, you might be freaking out slightly as you wonder whether they'll be wearing fuzzy slippers or boat shoes. Don't, because I have an outfit for you. Make a good first impression with this family-friendly oatmeal-colored sweater and double-slit skirt, keeping it cool with over-the-knee boots and your fave chunky gold jewelry.
To Last-Minute Gift Shopping
If, like me, you're waiting until December 20 to start gift shopping, online ordering is out of the question. Get ready to hit the stores in a look that's both comfortable enough to dodge the perfume associates but cute enough that you can meet a friend for drinks after all your hard work.
To a Gift Exchange With Friends
And now, the fun part: a gift exchange with friends. Whether you have a low-key get-together planned or you're headed to dinner on the town, get yourself a look that you can switch up. Cold day? Style your skinny jeans with over-the-knee boots—a major styling trend we're still obsessed with. Don't feel like wearing that? Go for an ankle boot with a mock-croc print. Style with a cardigan top and you have your girls night outfit ready to go.
