4 Autumn Trends That Are Popping Off at H&M

Oh, H&M, you are really spoiling us. If your attentions are turning to autumn/winter's top trends already, you aren't alone. The team at Who What Wear UK are jumping in headfirst, but some of our go-to retailers are on the case too. We've noticed an influx of newness taking over—from discounted summer sales pieces and high-summer swimwear to holiday-packing essentials and knits. Even coats and knee-high boots are becoming the bulk of regular deliveries each day.

There are some clear front-runners for the season's new trends, and we're particularly impressed by H&M's take on it all. Things are looking understated, luxe and quite premium for their first foray into autumn. We love how the brand is tapping into camel, beige and biscuit tones for smart separates and '90s minimalistic capsule pieces you can pull together easily.

As well as an array of great ankle boots filtering in, we've also bookmarked a thigh-slitted ribbed dress and two different slip skirts—two key summer trends that are shifting very easily into A/W 19 and still worth investing in. So without further ado, here are the autumn 2019 trends H&M has nailed already. Enjoy!
'90s CAPSULE WARDROBE
Think Gwyneth Paltrow in Sliding Doors or Carolyn Bessette Kennedy wearing, well, anything. The kind of '90s style we're looking to embrace for this autumn/winter is very, very sleek indeed. Fitted maxi dresses, spiked ankle boots and teeny-tiny shoulder bags will all be offset by oversized coats in neutral colours. We can't wait to wear this trend.
ALTERNATIVE ANIMAL PRINTS
There are still confident bets on leopard print continuing its reign for autumn (particularly when it comes to coats), but if you're in the mood for something different, there's a lot to choose from right now, and H&M appears to have all areas covered. From python print and ocelot to Dalmatian and zebra, get your wildest fix here.
THE POSH PALETTE
Soft caramel knits, peach-toned satin, pearl jewellery and tan suede shoes make up a very chic part of the muted colour palette available at the affordable store right now. Best worn together for maximum "I'm super rich" vibes.
SCARLET WOMEN
If those neutral tones feel too subtle for you, perhaps you'll enjoy this vibrant injection of red H&M is backing. They've had success over the summer with red dresses selling out, so I'm not surprised to see the hue being used for all manner of pretty new things.
