I'm Going to Paris This Week—These 30 Fashion and Beauty Items Are Coming With Me
Most Wanted is a weekly series in which one editor, staffer, or influencer shares their top 30 must-haves or current wish-list items.
I'm going to Paris this week for the first time ever, and it's safe to say that I'm freaking out. I'm both excited and overwhelmed by the trip, and the thing that helps me to focus when my brain is all over the place is making a detailed packing list early on so that I can figure out what I can bring that I already own and what I might need to order. I've been thinking about what I'd wear in Paris basically my whole life, so deciding what to actually bring for my 3.5 days there hasn't been easy.
I leave in three days, and I've finally narrowed things down and thought I'd share with you the items I'm definitely bringing with me. Below are 30 fashion and beauty items that made the cut. Keep scrolling to shop them too, and wish me luck getting everything into my carry-on.
Fashion Items
These are the perfect summer jeans. They're lightweight and comfortable, and the wash is just right.
Is it cliché to wear stripes in Paris? I don't care—it's a great shirt.
There are a lot of full skirts out there, but believe me when I say that this one's the best.
I'm not sure of everything I'll be doing in Paris yet, but I figure this will come in handy.
Since it's still a bit chilly in Paris, I'm packing a couple of jackets, including this one.
These pants are so comfortable that I'm considering wearing them on the plane.
I've noticed that these rectangular metal-framed sunglasses have been rising in popularity, so I had to try them for myself. This pair is particularly flattering.
I'm actually packing a pair of Miu Miu driving loafers, but these are very lovely as well.
Perhaps I don't need two pairs of black pants for a three-day trip to Paris, but I've decided that I do.
Beauty Products
This is my new favorite blush, and it's perfect for travel. It lasts all day, the colors are dreamy and flattering for a variety of skin tones, and the compact size is ideal.
This eye cream is magic. It makes me look well-rested (which I never am), and it's the first retinol eye cream I've tried that doesn't make my under-eye area flaky.
This highlighter isn't the smallest in size, but it's the prettiest, most natural-looking one I've ever used, so I think it's worth the space.
Phlur's Soft Spot is my latest fragrance obsession. Like most Phlur fragrances, it's difficult to describe, but I think it'll be just right for Paris.
I can't get over the fact that these lip oil balms are only $9. They stay on far longer than most, and each color is sheer (but not too sheer) and beautiful. If you order just one, make it Acai.
This new tinted moisturizer is going to be perfect for the plane. I'd call it medium coverage for a tinted moisturizer, which is ideal in my opinion. It makes my skin look flawless.
Ever since I was recommended this brow pencil by Sania Vucetaj herself, I've thrown all of my other brow pencils in the trash. It looks incredibly natural and is the perfect combination of waxy and powdery.
This is a great serum for the summer, and I've been wearing it under my SPF every day. It's just slightly glowy but isn't greasy—a tough code to crack.
This eye shadow is stunning for both day and night, and it truly doesn't budge or crease.
I was not a bronzer girl until I tried this Saie one. It actually makes me look tan, which is a miracle.
I don't remember the last time I took a trip without this concealer. It's the only thing that doesn't crease.
This is my go-to lip balm for long flights. The formula is great, and putting it on makes me happy.
This mascara is so dramatic and pretty, and it never clumps.
I'm always surprised by how bulky lip products often are. This one is nice and tiny, and the glossy formula actually stays put. My favorite shade is Summer Fling.
When it comes to blending foundation, cream blush, and bronzer, this is the only brush I'll use.
