I'm Basically My Sister's Personal Stylist—36 Chic, Summer-Ready Zara Pieces I'm Sending Her Way
I'm Gen Z, and my sister is a millennial. It falls on me to keep her up-to-date on all things fashion, and it's on her to make sure I knew the pop culture serve that was Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake's double-denim moment. I'd call that an even trade, wouldn't you?
Ever since her sweet 16, I've been her fitting-room confidant, her hype woman, her forever cheerleader. Now, I'm her fashion-week digest and stylist, all in one. It was a proud moment when she called this week to point out Jonathan Anderson's nod to Christian Dior's New Look with his debut Dior S/S 26 men's opening look. But like most sisters, she didn't call just to yap about niche design references. She had an ulterior motive—a new summer wardrobe.
Just like I was her first style consult, Zara was mine. With summer heating up, Zara is the place to go for chic, on-trend pieces made to look cool and feel comfortable. Zara's new arrivals are looking hot and include a plethora of perfect summer basics I predict will stand out and sell out this season.
This sister-approved Zara edit covers everything from the LBD and your basic poplin button-down to '90s-inspired strappy sandals and low-rise jeans—a comeback my sister might need a little convincing on (something about Christina Aguilera on the red carpet circa 2002)—to, of course, a modern re-creation of the iconic 2000s Canadian tuxedo.
I've accepted that the life of a fashion editor includes being my sister's personal stylist. Ahead, see the 36 chic Zara summer finds I sent my sister's way. Spoiler alert: She loved them all.
