As a Skirt Enthusiast, This Is the Style I Don’t Think People Are Wearing Enough for Summer
As a skirt enthusiast, I feel confident when I say I think we have lost the art of the funky skirt. And when I say funky skirt, I don't mean polka dots or stripes. I mean something genuinely quirky. Maybe it's a skirt with both stripes and polka dots. Maybe it's one with neon florals. Maybe there's a tiger printed on the front instead of tiger print. Just something that doesn't feel conventional.
The great thing about a funky skirt is that it instantly adds personality to an outfit. It adds the kind of dimension a trendy print cannot. It tells a story. It makes a statement. It allows your styling to be simple because it does all of the talking.
It's also something I think we are not considering enough when it comes to summer fits. Yes, I love a lacey slip skirt just as much as the next girl. But it's a little expected. A quirky skirt has impact! It gives you the potential to really think outside of the box. It's also great if you have a lot of basic tees and tanks but want to wear them in a more complex way. It can give your wardrobe range it may have been missing otherwise. Also, it's just fun! It doesn't take itself too seriously.
