6 Fashion Insiders Share Their Autumn Vintage Wish List
As the saying goes, 'one person's junk is another person's treasure', and this is ever more prevalent in the fashion world. With buying and selling pre-loved pieces being more and more popular, apps such as Vinted, Depop, eBay, Vestiaire Collective and Etsy are quite literally a treasure trove for anyone wanting to find those not-so-hidden gems. Add to this sites such as The Cirkel and Rites becoming the destination for fashion editors to sell the unwanted items from their wardrobe, and to also buy each other's, and sharing really is caring.
Whether it's a vintage one-off piece you're after, a past season designer item that you've been trying to find, or even a new item you missed out on, the secondhand sphere is the non-exclusive club to be a part of. And who better do the hard work of searching all of these spaces than the Who What Wear editors?
To discover what's on our fashion editor's wish lists, just keep scrolling. And as a sneak peek, there's Prada and Miu Miu bags, a Burberry skirt and Gucci x Adidas trainers you won't want to miss. The thing is, though, there will only be one lucky person who gets to shop them—on your marks, get set, go!

I swear I dream about this Prada buckle bag at least once a week! It's a big investment to buy brand new, but you can save some money by looking for preloved versions.
Checked patterns come in every autumn, so it's always worth looking for original styles from the fashion houses that do them best: Burberry, Aquascutum and Daks are always on my radar.
Searching for 1980s dresses on Etsy has become a hobby of mine! In order to find nipped-in and fitted dropped waist silhouettes with puff sleeves and full skirts, there's no better route than vintage.

Taylor Russell's coat collection has been living in my mind rent free, and this year I'm determined to find my grail now that trench season is well and truly upon us.
Pops of red have been trending all throughout summer, and I'm not ready to let go just yet. This Miu Miu bag is the perfect size to fit my laptop and layers in for days in the office.
Is this an impractical buy for Autumn? Maybe! But I love wearing sunnies all year round and these 90s Chanel ones would make any outfit look instantly cooler.

If the weather is going to force me to wear a jacket for the foreseeable, then it might as well be a fun one––right? This feather adorned Sleeper style (it's a size small, FYI) could also be worn as a fun top with jeans thanks to the cute tie-front detail. It's one of those items that's bound to get you compliments wherever you go, and I suggest you get it before I do.
Firstly, if this was my size, it would be in my basket right now. Although I loved the Miu Miu micro minis, this vintage version is a lot more wearable as part of an everyday outfit. I would style it with a polo shirt and loafers for now and go for a retro vibe with tall boots as soon as we get into peak autumn.
I––along with the whole of Instagram––am obsessed with all things suede. And I just know that chocolate brown will be practically all I wear for the next few months. With this in mind, these rich brown knee-high boots (in my size, yay!) will be the perfect addition to my autumn wardrobe.

Jewellery fans will know Susan Caplan for her carefully curated collection of vintage costume and fine jewellery, and if you're looking for a statement piece that's a guaranteed conversation starter, you have to start here. A case in point? This vintage Chanel necklace. The easiest way to turn any outfit from good to great.
If you're looking to rent as well as buy secondhand, it's well worth following Rites on Instagram. They manage to source even some of last season's most sought after pieces (hello Realisation and Tove), but right now I have my eye on the sold out Gucci Gazelles. Autumn in a shoe.
It's finally jacket weather, and what could be more cosy (and chic) than a suede jacket you can wear with everything from slip skirts to jeans. You'll have to act quick to nab this Prada jacket from Chillie London, I have a feeling once the word is out, it'll go to good home quickly.

This season I'm swapping my classic huggies for something a bit bolder, by way of Chanel earrings. Larger style jewellery has taken off over the past few seasons, and I can wait to add this luxury pair to so many looks this autumn (and well beyond).
A Fendi Baguette has been on my wishlist for years, ever since Carrie Bradshaw declared "It isn't a bag, it's a baguette", and finally the time has arrived. When searching for second hand designer pieces I'm always drawn tot Vesitiaire Collective's vast selection, and with a little browsing you'll be able to find sleek vintage pieces in great condition just like this one. Get ready to see this on repeat when party season rolls around.
Loafers are a key style for autumn, and I'm looking to invest in a designer pair that has already proved they'll stand the test of time. Enter the Gucci loafers. This pair comes in a rich burgundy shade, a colour that always brings an expensive edge even to luxury pieces.

Boots are my most-worn item over the winter months and my TikTok algorithm knows it! I’ve seen Frye Boot videos almost everyday on my FYP since autumn started and I think this tan worn-in shade would get so much wear this season.
I’ve wanted a timeless oversized wool coat forever, but after opting for a few high-street versions over the last couple of years and not feeling convinced, I’ve decided I need to live my best Olsen-inspired life and go full floor length, ‘90s Jaeger with this oversized gem.
I’m a big graphic tee girl and make it my mission whenever entering a vintage/ second hand store to bee line for the mens T-shirt rail. I love the colours of this kiss me and it would be absolutely perfect if it wasn’t for the stain on the back––nothing a spot of Vanish won't fix.
